Description

the Ray Iles Froe range, an XL froe – designed for heavy duty log splitting. It has a 12″ blade made from chunky 60mm x 10mm EN45 spring steel to withstand the forces exerted on it. It is hardened and tempered and taper ground along the full width of the blade from top to bottom and the canal or cutting edge is rolled, as with the premium froes.

This helps the blade to glide through the wood. It has a 17 1/2″ beech shaft that fits into the tapered socket, it is finished with raw linseed oil which improves the appearance and durability of the wood.
